The Full Story

Milo Harrion Peters

Our family's entire cancer journey.

Diagnosis

Milo (Theo’s identical) was diagnosed with Sarcoma cancer on 2.1.23. It was an incredibly rare finding because the cancer was not created in his body, rather the cancer cells were transferred to him via blood because he shared a placenta in utero with his brother. To share the magnitude of our shock is impossible but we were hopeful when we were informed that the parameters of his diagnosis differed from his brothers. At that moment we moved into action to best support Milo in his fight.

Treatment

As many families find, treatment rituals are a way to cope during the process. Ours consisted of Milo's prayer blankie, disco lights and lullabies because you can never know what he is in the mood for so we covered all our bases.

Obituary

IN LOVING MEMORY OF MILO HARRISON PETERS

Milo Peters, the cherished 14-month-old son of Riley and Pilar Peters, peacefully passed away at home surrounded by family on March 9th, 2024. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love and light he brought into the world.

Although Milo's time with us was short, his impact was immeasurable. His education at the "Infant School of Adorableness" was marked by his contagious laughter and the joy he brought to everyone around him.

Milo's hobbies included indulging in his mom's rice and beans, playing with his brothers, snuggling with his dad, enjoying the soothing tunes of a guitar, splashing in a "bro-bro" bath, and napping with his beloved lovey.

Milo's strength and resilience in the face of unimaginable challenges showed a courage far beyond his tender age.

He will always be remembered for his radiant smile, deep brown eyes, and infectious joy he brought to his family.

In honoring Milo's memory, let us live life a little fuller, hold on to the ones we love a little tighter and reflect on all the teachings he brought into our lives.

Though he may be physically gone, his spirit will forever be ingrained in the fibers of our family tree.
